WHO?

New members are welcome and no performance experience is necessary!

You are welcome to drop in and try it out - you don’t need to commit to all the sessions and don’t worry if you’ve missed the first few!

The Questions

(a performance sharing by She Goat Theatre Club)

What's that thing you've always wanted to do, but maybe you feel a bit scared?

Welcome to She Goat Theatre Club.

Every Thursday (pretty much), we meet at Longfield Hall to be creative together - we dance, play, write, and make some theatre!

For one night only, you are invited to a sharing of some of what we've been up to.

It's called The Questions.

It's about what the right questions can unlock. It's about finding strength in unlikely places. It's about everything we are and might yet be.

Devised and performed by members of She Goat Theatre Club.

This event took place on:

Thursday 9th May

5.30pm

Approx. 1hr

Longfield Hall (Upper Hall)

50 Knatchbull Rd, London SE5 9QY

A cast of 16 members performed - many on stage for the first time ever - with 2 more members in attendance to support.

It was free to attend!

There was a bar, a lovely crowd, an impromptu dance party at the end.

We loved it.

Huge thanks to Longfield Hall and to the brilliant audience members who showed up, and the members of SGTC who were brave and brilliant up onstage!

SGTC in 2024 has been supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

WHAT'S THE STORY?

As a group we creatively explored ideas about strength and what it means (for you!) to feel strong... leading to a public performance of what we discovered and created together.

These sessions also formed a vital part of She Goat’s artistic process making the new theatre show IRON FANTASY - exploring if we can reimagine and reclaim what "strength" means, by centring children's and elders' experiences.
